Genjitsu Syllabus
No one at Genjitsu Martial Arts gets a free ride. All students earn their grades though hard work and determination. Students are required to complete 10 Kyu grades, each progressing though many areas of hand to hand combat. Starting with the Red Belt - teaching basic stances, rolls and break-falls and basic Japanese terminology. The Syllabus is then split into 3 sections:
White, Yellow and Orange Belts in these grades you will learn stances, blocks, strikes, kicks, throwing, locking, grappling and ground-fighting techniques. This is the foundation of Genjitsu.
Green, Blue and Purple Belts in these grades you will learn faster block, striking and kicking combination techniques, improving speed, accuracy and agility. Learn Kata forms, intense locking, restraining and throwing techniques, different forms of sparring and very effective street techniques.
Purple-White, Brown and Brown-White Belts in these grades you will step it up even more! Learn how to flow your block and striking and combination techniques. You will be able to read attacks from opponents and use techniques spontaneously. Now you will have serious skills in many forms of combat!
Gradings are held every 6 months. All techniques are practiced in a safe and controlled manor maintaining a high level of respect for other students, training partners and instructors.
Violent Attacks
The United Kingdom is the violent crime capital of Europe and has one of the highest rates of violence in the world, worse even than America, according to new research.
Analysis of figures from the European Commission showed a 77 per cent increase in murders, robberies, assaults and sexual offences in the UK.
The total number of violent offences recorded compared to population is higher than any other country in Europe. There are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000 population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe.
More than 20 people a day were taken to hospital accident and emergency departments in England last year after being hit, kicked, scratched or bitten.
